A competition winning sculpture has been unveiled at the Smales Farm Bus Station to celebrate the history of Smales Farm as a transport hub on the North Shore.

Latest Architectural Natural Stone'Silhouette' is a Gill Gatfield winning entry in the public art competititon to design a permanent sculpture. Here at Architectural Stone, we were commissioned by Gill to source a 100mm thick block of granite measuring 3.5m high x 1.5m wide. We scoured the world and found a quarry in India that could produce such a piece to satisfy the requirements (A big thank you to Universal Stones).

After overcoming the logistics of transporting and manufacturing a block of this size around the factory and to site , we finished the project on time and to the high satisfaction to our client.

If you are in the area, please take the time to admire the 'Silhouette' and contemplate.
